SynpSys
SynpSys helps hospitals and insurance companies proactively identify patients at high risk of hospital readmission before it happens. By connecting directly to hospital systems, we flag at-risk patients at discharge and provide care teams with actionable, patient-specific insights to intervene early, improve patient outcomes, and reduce avoidable readmissions.
Founders
Patricia A. Ferguson, MD, MBA
Dr. Patricia Ferguson is an accomplished healthcare leader, board-certified OB/GYN, and clinical executive with over three decades of dedication to medicine, corporate healthcare quality, and community empowerment. A proud Detroit native and valedictorian of Henry Ford High School, she completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and her Doctor of Medicine at Wayne State University. For over 25 years, Dr. Ferguson maintained a thriving private practice in metropolitan Detroit. In 2014, she transitioned her clinical expertise into executive leadership within corporate medicine, serving as Medical Director for Care Delivery and Quality Improvement for Medicare Advantage at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. She recently earned her MBA from Wayne State University's Mike Ilitch School of Business and founded SynpSys. Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Ferguson is the Founder and President of Each One Teach One, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting academic excellence among local youth, and a founding board member of Dr. Shalon's Maternal Action Plan (DrShalonsMap.org), working to eliminate Black maternal mortality disparities.
Mithun Nandhakumar
Mithun is an Electrical and Computer Engineering student at Wayne State University with a passion for entrepreneurship, technology, and building products that solve meaningful problems. As Co-Founder of SynpSys, he works on developing solutions that improve healthcare interoperability and make clinical data more accessible and actionable. He is particularly interested in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and healthcare innovation, with a goal of building impactful products that combine technical excellence with real-world value.
CognivraX
CognivraX™ is a patent-pending, AI-enabled, neuroscience-based platform built for the mental health workforce. Practitioners identify their real-time nervous system state — activated, withdrawn, foggy, or flooded — and receive a brief, science-based intervention matched to that state in under two minutes. By sustaining the practitioners who hold the mental health system together, CognivraX™ protects care access for the underserved communities that depend on them. Currently in pilot testing with licensed practitioners, with a B2B model serving clinics, hospitals, and health organizations.

Sally Al-Rawi
Sally Al-Rawi is the Founder & CEO of CognivraX™. An Iraqi-American refugee, Sally's path began as a caregiver navigating a fragmented mental health system for a loved one. That lived experience — witnessing how the system fails not only patients but the practitioners who serve them — propelled her into psychology research at Wayne State University, where she studies nervous system regulation and practitioner burnout. Sally holds a Harvard Business School Online certificate in Launching Tech Ventures, is a Psi Chi inductee and APA Student Affiliate, presents her research at the APA 2026 Convention and NCUR, and serves as President of TEDxWayneStateU. Her work is protected by a pending patent and registered trademark. She builds at the intersection of neuroscience, technology, and health equity — driven by a belief that you cannot heal a fragmented system with burned-out healers.
Basis Financial
Basis Financial is a consumer personal finance platform that helps users budget, plan, and make major financial decisions with confidence. By connecting cash flow, goals, behavioral insights, and decision models, Basis helps users understand the tradeoffs behind choices like renting versus buying, purchasing a car, saving for a home, and planning for retirement. Basis is building toward an AI-powered orchestration layer for personal finance, where users can ask questions about their financial life and be guided to the right tools, models, and next steps based on their actual financial context.

James Latstetter
James is the founder of Basis Financial and a sophomore at Wayne State University studying actuarial mathematics and finance. He is building Basis to help everyday consumers connect budgeting, goals, and major financial decisions through personalized planning tools, behavioral insights, and AI-powered orchestration. His work focuses on making advanced financial modeling and decision support more accessible to people navigating choices like renting versus buying, buying a car, saving for a home, and planning for retirement.
3F Athletics
3F Athletics LLC is a multidisciplinary fitness and performance gym built on the philosophy "Form Fits Function." 3F combines 5 professional services and research into one coordinated, assessment-first model. Through its Elite Performance Blueprint and Core 6 Protocol, the company uses biomechanical testing, movement analysis, recovery data, and individualized program design to help clients train safely, reduce injury risk, and make measurable progress toward their goals.

Greg Lomason
Greg Lomason is the Founder of 3F Athletics LLC. He holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science and has built 3F around a clear mission: closing the gap between traditional fitness training, rehabilitation, and long-term performance development. Greg developed the Elite Performance Blueprint and Core 6 Protocol to give clients a more complete path into training — one that starts with assessment, uses real biomechanical and recovery data, and turns that information into individualized programming. His work combines exercise science, movement analysis, coaching strategy, client behavior, and applied research to help people train safely, reduce injury risk, and make measurable progress. Through 3F Athletics, Greg is building a model where personal training, physical therapy, massage therapy, nutrition, psychology, and research operate as one coordinated system.
Orieanna Greathouse
Orieanna Greathouse is the Co-Founder of 3F Athletics LLC. As a licensed massage therapist, certified personal trainer, and stretch practitioner, she leads the recovery, wellness, and client-experience side of 3F Athletics, bringing hands-on care into the company's broader Elite Performance Blueprint and Core 6 Protocol. Orieanna combines evidence-based practice with compassionate, client-centered care to help individuals move better, recover smarter, and build healthier lives. Her work bridges the gap between fitness, recovery, and long-term wellness by making care intentional, personalized, and accessible to people of all backgrounds — from individuals beginning their fitness journey to competitive athletes striving for peak performance. She is passionate about entrepreneurship, community building, and redefining what modern wellness looks like through systems that are more effective, more collaborative, and more human-centered.

MotionIQ is a real-time client communication platform that helps beauty professionals keep customers informed through appointment updates, automated notifications, and live status feeds — creating a more transparent and seamless customer experience.

Donzelle Collins
Detroit native and proud #GirlDad, Donzelle is a master's student in Data & Analytics at Wayne State University with a background in advertising, public relations, data analytics, and customer experience. He currently serves as a Postgraduate Advisory Fellow with the Detroit Regional Chamber, where he supports initiatives focused on talent development, innovation, and community engagement. Passionate about emerging technologies and data-driven problem solving, Donzelle is interested in building solutions that enhance customer experiences and contribute to Detroit's growing innovation ecosystem.

Eriyon Adams is from the Metro Detroit area and is a two-time graduate of Wayne State University, earning his bachelor's degree in Information Systems in 2023 and his master's degree in Data Science and Business Analytics in 2025. Always passionate about technology and entrepreneurship, he is building SmartLife to create products that generate real value and make a positive impact on the world.
Nihongo Journey
Nihongo Journey is an AI-powered Japanese learning platform that helps learners build a consistent daily habit through short writing and speaking challenges. It acts as a personal language diary, allowing users to track how their Japanese improves over time. After each daily challenge, AI provides personalized feedback on grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and mistakes — making language learning more personal, motivating, and measurable.

Vaishnavi Paliwal
Vaishnavi Paliwal is the founder of Nihongo Journey, building at the intersection of AI and language education. She created the platform to make Japanese learning more personal and measurable — combining daily practice challenges with AI-powered feedback that adapts to each learner's patterns, recurring errors, and chosen grammar points. Her vision is a world where language learning is driven by consistent reflection and meaningful progress, not just passive consumption.
